Precautions for PVC Floor Installation - Specification for PVC Floor Installation

1. Installation Specification of PVC Floor - Adhesion

Adhesion between PVC floor and floor or wall must be in place. When bonding, special attention should be paid to weather conditions and ground characteristics. The choice of glue should be appropriate.

The type of glue is mainly selected according to the glue area and glue characteristics according to the following conditions:

Normal Conditions: Use environmentally friendly water-soluble glue, which is a milky white odorless PVC special glue

If the PVC floor is installed near the bathroom or damp place, it is recommended to use two-component glue in the area 50cm away from it, which has better waterproofing performance.

If it is the place where the PVC floor of the upper wall is pasted, the universal glue is used.

For conductive plastic floor, use conductive glue.

2. Installation Specification for PVC Flooring - Environmental Conditions

Installation of PVC flooring is not allowed when indoor temperature is below 10 degrees Celsius (glue manufacturers generally recommend not to install PVC flooring below 18 degrees C). Glue does not work at low temperature and is not suitable for bonding. Technicians must prevent frosting of latex water.

The place where the glue is applied must be well ventilated.

3. Installation Specification for PVC Flooring - Surface Conditions

To fully consider whether the surface is non-water absorbent or water absorbent, tile, marble and metal floors belong to non-water absorbent surface, while other floors are basically water absorbent. Appropriate selection of different base oils. This can avoid the phenomenon of self-leveling not adhering to the surface and shelling caused by improper selection.

4. Installation Specification for PVC Flooring-Installation Notices

Construction specifications are very important for the adhesion of PVC flooring.

Proper use of glue: glue must be operated in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, using the recommended type of saw-toothed shovel to apply glue, must be evenly applied. If there is no glue dosage recommended by the manufacturer, the glue can not fully play the role of adhering to the PVC floor. If there is not enough time for the glue to volatilize, there may be water or solvent residues in the glue, which may also lead to bonding failure.

Rolling:

A 50 kg steel roller should be used to roll the whole surface of the floor evenly to compact the plastic floor. Roll at least twice, immediately after the installation of the floor, half an hour or an hour after the installation of the floor again rolling. Because the final adhesive force of glue is half an hour later, the PVC floor has attributes, before it is fully adhered, there will still be some bulging phenomenon, so it needs to be rolled again to make the PVC floor bond well with glue. Use rolling to press the back of the floor and adhesives to ensure that there are no bubbles in the floor and that the PVC floor is well bonded. The floor needs to be rolled outward from the center of the PVC floor.

5. Notices after installation of PVC floor

If the floor is used before the glue is completely dried, the weight of the floor may leave an indelible mark.

Maintenance of PVC floor

In order to maintain the extraordinary performance of PVC flooring, and prolong the service life and floor value, effective cleaning and maintenance is necessary and beneficial. Due to the close surface structure and Realization of PVC floor itself, special treatment has been carried out, which can be accomplished through routine recommended actions.

Maintenance Notes:

1. Clean up all kinds of dirt on floor surface in time

2. The floor should be kept in water for as long as possible, so as not to affect the service life of the floor.

3. For flooring with large flow of people and serious wear in the use area, the maintenance period should be shortened and the number of waxing times should be increased.

4. Do not use hard, dirty and rough cleaning utensils (such as wire balls and cleaning cloth) to prevent sharp substances from colliding and scraping the floor.

5. It is recommended to prevent cleaning footpads at entrances to public places with high traffic to prevent scratching of floors with dirt and gravel.

6. Maintenance appliances and wax water for different types of floors in the same place are not interoperable to avoid unexpected problems.
